About Dr Mohsin Uzzaman
Dr Uzzaman is a currently a specialist registrar in Cardiothoracic surgery. He qualified as a doctor from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’s Medical School with MBBS distinction. During his undergraduate training, he was awarded several scholarships including the nationally prestigious Barbers company surgical scholarship. He subsequently completed his core surgical training in London. He also completed an MSc in Surgical Science at Queen Mary’s, University Of London before embarking on his Cardiothoracic training.
Dr Uzzman has published over 30 papers and even published a book in cardiac surgery titled “The Pericardial Heart Valve, The Oddyssey Of A Continously Evolving Concept” (2014). He is heavily involved in teaching and training of medical applicants in work experience, medical students and junior doctors. As a specialist registrar, he has in-depth knowledge of the structure of the NHS and current acute dilemmas facing the NHS, and is thus able to provide invaluable insight to the workings of the NHS on our Interview Courses.
